Each department and apartment followed a carefully planned, personalized vacation program that included trips, getaways, recreational activities, and engaging daily activities. Alongside the relaxed and joyful atmosphere, every activity was supervised by professionals and carried out in accordance with Ministry of Welfare regulations and guidelines. The goal was to ensure that every resident could enjoy a genuine, safe, and meaningful summer break tailored to their individual needs.
At Alei Siach, the conclusion of this year’s Bein Hazmanim brings a deep sense of satisfaction after weeks filled with activities, trips, vacations, and special programs designed specifically for the residents. This year, special emphasis was placed on creating an authentic vacation experience while maintaining structure, safety, and professional support for every resident.
One of the most distinctive aspects of this year’s program was the way activities were planned within each department and apartment. Department directors and professional staff prepared organized vacation schedules in advance, including trips, getaways, recreational activities, and special programs designed to give every resident a meaningful and varied summer break.
At the heart of the program was a six-day camp held in the community of Eli, continuing a tradition established in previous years. In addition, each department participated in a special outing. The boys enjoyed bowling and a full day of activities in Mishor Edumim, while the girls took part in a boat cruise and a day of activities in Jaffa. Residents in the higher-support apartments also enjoyed a variety of special workshops and activities throughout the vacation period.
Each apartment followed a structured vacation calendar that outlined all planned trips, getaways, and activities. Programs took place throughout the day and included recreational activities within the apartments, ensuring that the spirit of the summer break was felt not only during outings and vacations but also in everyday life.
Alongside the festive and carefree atmosphere, Alei Siach maintained its commitment to professionalism, organization, and safety. Every activity and outing was carefully planned in advance and carried out according to established procedures, with all necessary approvals in place and staffing adapted to the specific needs of the residents. Activities were supervised by professionals, including social workers and other staff members, and were conducted in full compliance with Ministry of Welfare regulations and requirements.
The organization emphasizes that while creating opportunities for relaxation, enjoyment, and a true vacation experience was a central goal, maintaining a clear and supportive framework remained equally important throughout the entire period. Strict adherence to procedures ensured that every resident received exactly the support they needed, and often even more, while safeguarding their well-being, safety, and quality of life.
In this way, Alei Siach successfully combined two goals that might seem contradictory: allowing residents to experience the joy and excitement of a real summer break while maintaining a responsible, professional, and well-structured environment tailored to the unique needs of every individual.
Rabbi Chaim Farkel, Founder and Chairman of Alei Siach, summarized the experience:
“Bein Hazmanim is a special opportunity for our residents to enjoy themselves, travel, create meaningful memories, and experience the atmosphere of a true vacation. At the same time, it is very important to us that every activity be conducted in a professional, safe, and well-organized manner, with the appropriate staff and personalized support for every resident. I would like to thank our department directors and all of our dedicated staff members who worked tirelessly throughout this period to ensure that every resident could enjoy Bein Hazmanim in the best possible way.”
