Nava Fishel, Director of the “Zechutainu” division at Alei Siach, briefed the Knesset about social welfare regulations, explaining: Individuals with intellectual and mental disabilities, including OCD, are given an automatic classification that disqualifies them from getting critical government support. The families are required to pay out of pocket for costly diagnostic evaluations to correct the classification.
