Hundreds of Alei Siach participants and residents, together with their families and staff members from across Israel, gathered for the organization’s central Simchat Beit Hashoeva celebration, held at the Beit Yisrael Halls in Jerusalem.
The evening opened with a special procession featuring Alei Siach residents walking alongside a selected group of children. Accompanied by drums and lively music, they made their way down the main street and to the outdoor plaza into the hall, bringing the festive spirit of Sukkot to everyone gathered inside.
The event was attended by prominent rabbinic and public figures, including Israel’s Chief Rabbi, Rabbi David Yosef; former Chief Rabbi Rabbi David Lau; and Rabbi Shlomo Zaafrani. Members of Knesset and other public representatives also joined the celebration.
Throughout Chol Hamoed Sukkot, participants and residents from Alei Siach’s programs and residential frameworks across the country, including Jerusalem and Bnei Brak, came together for an evening filled with music, dancing, and the joy of the holiday.
The opening procession was a particularly meaningful moment, reflecting the spirit of inclusion and connection at the heart of Alei Siach’s work. Residents and children walked together into the hall, welcomed by the joyful sounds of drums and the enthusiastic crowd.
During the evening, Rabbi Chaim Perkal, Chairman and CEO of Alei Siach, spoke about the privilege of creating a place that truly feels like home for every participant and resident. He highlighted the special power of bringing participants, families, and staff together in shared celebration.
Rabbi Perkal also expressed his appreciation to the parents for their dedication throughout the year and thanked Alei Siach’s staff for the devoted care and support they provide around the clock. He acknowledged the assistance of Jerusalem Mayor Moshe Lion, members of the municipal council, public representatives, and Members of Knesset who support the organization’s work.
Music and dancing were at the heart of the evening. The performers included Chassidic singer Mendy Weiss, Dudi Eisenstein, the Nernena Choir, and an expanded orchestra led by musical arranger Benny Laufer. For an extended period, participants, residents, family members, and staff danced together in joyful circles, creating a wonderful atmosphere that reflected the spirit of Alei Siach.
The organization was pleased to see such a strong turnout and the opportunity for participants and their families to meet and connect with leading rabbis and public representatives.
Over the years, the Simchat Beit Hashoeva celebration has become one of the highlights of the Sukkot holiday for the Alei Siach family. It brings together people from the organization’s many programs and residential communities across the country for an evening of shared joy and togetherness.
At the close of the event, Alei Siach’s management thanked all those who helped make the celebration possible, including the parents, staff members, volunteers, and other partners.
Above all, the greatest joy was seeing the participants and residents themselves at the center of the celebration, singing, dancing, and feeling, quite simply, at home.
